Happy Thanksgiving from my house to yours! We’re traditionalists here when it comes to the menu: a brined and roasted bird, creamy mashed potatoes, pan fried brussel sprouts, mixed green salad tossed with pistachios, pomegranate seeds, gorgonzola, and sweet vinaigrette, all paired with homemade cranberry sauce, rolls, and my famous stuffing and gravy. Three pies await: classic pumpkin, cranberry apple, and key lime, it’s a feast!
My centerpiece is simple and (almost) effortless, I clipped branches from a tree in my front yard and added stems of fresh eucalyptus. The new stemware from Target adds color and the modern shaped ceramic Mikasa plates I found at Home Goods, $40 for eight. Mini twinkle lights help set the mood! We dine at 5 p.m. then digest and play games. Thanksgiving is the best!
